a collection of goodies for young and old inspired by the color of indigo...homemade things & vintage & one-of-a-kind...and, surprise balls!

rinne allen and lucy allen gillis are two sisters living in athens, georgia
who love to travel, roam, and explore. field trip documents these travels
through photographs, the written word, video, & seasonal installations
of objects that reflect their discoveries, interactions, and observations.

they have a lot of fun together.

the two sisters combine their skill sets on projects for others, as well.

their latest collaboration is the recently released book, A New Turn in the South, by Hugh Acheson from Clarkson Potter.
the duo photographed, styled, & helped art-direct the book.

the two sisters write & photograph regularly for selvedge magazine, and
they have been involved with projects for hable construction, r.wood studio, beautyeveryday,
alabama chanin, blabla kids, the Georgia Museum of Art, and Canning for New Generation from Stewart, Tabori, & Chang.
